That bring blessing from afar

The piano keys played with care

Tiny wrapped around my neck
The many selfies found on my phone

What if it's the little things?
That bless us every day
The laughter of good friends
The circle of prayer

What if it's the little things?
That bring joy to our lives
The words of a coach
Chats with far away friends
The smile of a child on a hard day

What if it's the little things?
That have blessed me so greatly
The grace in Frisbee so freely given
Amazing friends gathered around
Tearful voices raised in praise



These are the things I am thankful for
The texts to check on me
The hugs when my smile fades
Tea and chocolate
Tasteful pretzels and Mountain ranges

I've realized it's not always the big things that count
It's not the trophies we win but the team that is built
It's not the awards that are won but the lessons that are learned
It's not the fame that we get but the memories that we make

Yes, so often it's the little things that bring joy to my heart.
